Annika Layne (b. 1996) is an American artist who lives and works in Santa Cruz, California.

Inspired by architecture, interior settings, travel, and bygone times, her work explores the intersections of domesticity, daily life, and design. These intersections produce pieces that feel nostalgic and represent her exploration of identity and self-acceptance.

She currently resides in an industrial live/work space and enjoys spending time surfing and running her design business outside of her painting practice.

In early 2023, Annika launched Case Study, a design label for paper products inspired by American and Japanese vintage industrialism. For a look at her products, go to creativecasestudy.com
