Documentary, San Francisco (2022-2023)

These scenes depict past experiences that conjured a feeling of awe as I stood observing them.
I felt that I had encountered something big enough that my sense of self receded.

The paintings start with film-like photographs taken throughout my exploration of San Francisco and are then used as references for the paintings themselves.
The collection is a harmonious coalescence of history, nostalgia, and modern day life.
